SF Firestation 1 Hayloft Door replacement 224 W. 9th St. Customer Problem: Being a historic building, Firestation 1 has challenges all its own. The original hayloft is now a gym. The hayloft door is now an enclosed interior wall. The building had a wood "door" installed over the opening that has since failed and looked unsightly. The challenge was to replace the aging wood and insulate the opening. Service: Alpha Building Services replaced the hayloft door on the east side of Station 1 Firehouse using James Hardie fiber cement siding and trim.
